If you are moving into a furnished property, feel free to customize a sofa with throws and your own cushions! Just make sure you store their bits somewhere safe for when you move. If there are large pieces of furniture you do not require ask the Landlord if it is possible to have them removed, especially if you have your own few pieces.
Whilst you may not be able to completely renovate the property you are living in, you can definitely put your mark on the place. Whether that is rugs, pictures, cushions, even bringing colour into the kitchen area with coloured utensils and appliances. These all make a bland area feel more like home.
There are definitely ways you can make your children’s rooms a lot more child-like without the need to ask to paint the walls etc. You can purchase transferable wall stickers that peel off without ruining the walls or paint when you leave, these are a great way to enhance your child’s bedroom and not annoy the landlord! You can get stickers in an array of shapes, styles, colours, boy, girl and baby related.
Check it is okay, but most Landlords’ do allow you to put pictures up. So have your family photos up, your favourite pictures or places you have been too! If you don’t have any most home ware shops have great pictures you can buy now too!
